The Rotary Club of Sonde has confirmed securing Shillings 60 million to complete the Bukerere Health Center II maternity ward.
The money was declared during the installation of the club’s fourth president, Dr. Charles Olaro at the colourful ceremony held at Modal Gardens in Mukono Municipality. Dr. Olaro succeeded Paul Sigombe.
Towerco of Africa led by the Chief Operation Manager Ronald Onzia donated shillings 51 million towards the project.

The Ministry of Health also donated shillings 5 million to the club in support of community health services.
Speaking at the installation ceremony, the State Minister for Primary Health Care at the Ministry of Health, Margaret Muhanga Commended the outstanding work of the Rotary Club in the country, especially regarding health issues.
She urged Dr Olaro to strive to fulfill his mission and provide unique services to the people before handing over the five-million cheque.

“Rotarians are doing a great job for our communities, we have seen you getting involved in various projects such as fighting Polio, building hospitals, Schools, and so on and you are not going to stop,” Muhanga noted.
The new District 9213 Governor, Anne Nkutu asked Dr. Olaro to always listen to the people he leads, and once there is no communication, the entire club will get lost.
Former President, Paul Sigombe urged his successor to strive to fulfill his work plan and increase the number of members in the club.
