The Dutch proprietor of Noah’s Ark Children’s Ministry Uganda-NACMU, Piet Buitendijk together with his local business partner, Sam Nsereko are involved in a land grabbing scandal.
The two were lured by the foundation’s lawyer, Benon Sseryazi to sign a land buying agreement drafted under a sceptical manner before taking a bold move to fence off the contested land.
The land in question is located at Lukojjo Nama Sub County in Mukono District registered under the names of Joseph Ssonko who passed away in January 2000 leaving behind two wives and nine children.
Solomon Ssejjemba, the heir to the Late Ssonko, accuses Lawyer Sseryazi of conniving with some of the family members to forge a sale agreement despite receiving warnings to back off the process until all the family members meet for a final decision.

Noah’s ark management worked with Madina Nakiwala and Vincent Kimbowa together with their mother, Proscovia Nalumansi one of the widows to the late Ssonko to process letters of administration from the office of the administrator general to authoritatively sale off the land.
However, Ssejjemba who is also the current caretaker of the contested land foiled the process by placing a caveat, further still Sseryazi assured family members that letters of administration will still be issued after the period for the caveat elapses and that it was proper for them to sell off the land.
Noah’s ark management through their lawyer, Sseryazi offered Shillings 15million to assist in processing letters of administration before making the final payment of Shillings 70 million to complete the figure agreed for the entire land.
Ssejjemba, the family heir says was surprised to see that the lawyer presented the sale agreement bearing signatures of his siblings staying in the Middle East and upon contacting them, they denied signing a single document involving sale of land.

“I have tasked the lawyer in the presence of the Deputy Resident District Commissioner, Henry Kitambula to produce minutes indicating that the entire family agreed to sale the contested land, explain how he reached a conclusion to have some of my siblings sale land with a caveat but also how he managed to come up with signatures of people staying abroad.” Ssejjemba explains.
Lawyer Sseryazi notes that most of the issues Ssejjemba is raising were sorted by his siblings at the chambers. Sseryazi believes Ssejjemba is jealous over him though does not divulge the basis of jealousy.
The Deputy RDC, Kitambula reveals that mitigations into the matter would have been ended at the start of this week but Lawyer Sseryazi has dragged on to present a few documents he was asked to present to his office.
This Insight Post has tried contacting Noah’s Ark management about the matter but is still unsuccessful, however, we are committed to follow up the case up to the end.
This Website has also established that the money offered by Noah’s ark management to process letters of administration, part of it did not reach the intended beneficiaries.
One of the beneficiaries, Madina Nakiwala says they were only given Shillings 3million by the lawyer out of the Shillings 15 million and the rest has not been counted for.
