For over ten minutes, the skies at Nkuke trading Center in Masaka District were lit up by flowery fireworks displayed to welcome the new year 2025.
The spectacular fireworks were presented at a mega free concert organized by Uganda’s Consulate to Algeria and the Maghreb region H.E Amb. John Chrysostom Alintuma Nsambu, also the aspiring member of Parliament for Bukoto East Constituency.
The year-end bash was a gift to Bukoto East constituents and a night to remember having hosted a number of Artists and comedians like John black, Gloria Buggie and others.

The Memorable performances lighted up the stage and hearts of the constituents with Jazz and Brass music performed by the local Live and Brass bands plus a trans-night disco that left everyone dancing.
Close to entering the New Year, the audience cheered together with Amb. Nsambu’s family to celebrate the 16th Birthday of Sherinah Nsambu, one of his daughters live on stage.
The brass and jazz bands jointly blew trumpets and saxophones to celebrate the memorable birthday.
The joy could not stop, as the brass band played joyous songs, Amb. Nsambu and the entire family could not hesitate to join the stage to dance in bits as they welcomed the new year.

When the clock stroked mid night, thunderous fireworks were lit up as thousands of Nsambu’s supporters smiled at scenes that were never seen in Nkuke Village which is approximately 20km from Masaka City center.
Upon entering the New Year, the gathering danced on the tunes that were played by the Brass and Jazz bands plus the thunderous disco until 6am in the morning.

In his end of year speech, Amb. Nsambu said his intention to organize such a mega concert is help Bukoto East constituents share similar joy people in Kampala and the Diaspora enjoy.
“Where we ended the vibe in 2011 is where we must start from. this is just the beginning of what we intend to do for Masaka District and Bukoto East constituents, we must be visible, our only challenge was only that we lacked someone to deliver the necessary services.” Amb. Nsambu said

Hon. Suzan Nakawuki Nsambu, the former EALA Parliamentarian applauded Amb. Nsambu for his efforts to revive Bukoto East from the deep state of boredom.
“We have been orphans in Bukoto East, we would have had improved service delivery if we had Hon. Nsambu. The opportunity is here again for us to rethink of our community without considering political party divisions and colors. it’s time to make Bukoto East Again by considering Hon. Nsambu as the area Parliamentarian.” Hon. Nakawuki said.
About Amb. Nsambu
Amb. John Chrysostom Nsambu is a Ugandan diplomat, serving as Uganda’s Ambassador to the Maghreb region (Tunisia, Morocco, Mauritania, Algeria).
He served as the former state minister for information & communication technology from 2006 until 2011.
Alintuma Nsambu is best remembered for his charity work in establishing computer laboratories in Ugandan schools with the hand of Bill Gates’ daughter – Jennifer Gates and with the Bellevue area schools in Washington State.
As Minister, Alintuma Nsambu advised President Museveni to establish a national data bank for the citizens of Uganda and that marked the beginning of the National Identification Project that has enabled every Ugandan adult to have an National ID.
As a Minister for ICT, Alintuma Nsambu initiated the Mobile Money policy among Telecos which is now the most popular platform for transferring money in Uganda.
Amb. Hon Alintuma Nsambu recently announced his bid to oust the incumbent Bukoto East Constituency Legislator Evans Kanyike in 2026.
