St. Mary’s College Mayenze Announces 50% Fee Relief For Bright, Talented And Vulnerable Students

St. Mary’s College Mayenze has introduced a major education support initiative aimed at helping bright, talented and financially disadvantaged learners access quality education, giving families struggling with school fees a renewed opportunity to keep their children in school.

Under the programme, eligible learners can benefit from a bursary covering up to 50 percent of their school fees. The initiative is designed to support students with outstanding academic potential, exceptional talents and those whose families face financial challenges that could prevent them from continuing with their education.

The opportunity also targets pupils preparing to join secondary school. Learners who obtain aggregates between 4 and 14 in the Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE) can be considered for the bursary, offering high-performing candidates an opportunity to begin their secondary education at St. Mary’s College Mayenze without placing the entire financial burden on their families.

To further support parents and guardians, the school is offering a two percent discount to those who pay their children’s school fees within the first two weeks of a new term. The arrangement is intended to encourage timely fee payment while providing some financial relief to families meeting their obligations early.

The school has also introduced incentives to recognise academic excellence and motivate learners to maintain strong performance. Students who achieve seven or more distinctions can receive UGX 50,000 in cash or partial sponsorship towards their school fees, rewarding hard work and encouraging a culture of academic achievement.

In recognition of the challenges faced by children who have lost their parents, the institution has extended special assistance to orphaned learners. Students who have lost their fathers qualify for a 50 percent reduction in school fees, while those who have lost their mothers are eligible for a 25 percent reduction, helping ease the burden on affected families and guardians.

Beyond academic performance, St. Mary’s College Mayenze emphasises discipline, moral values and spiritual growth as essential elements of a complete education. Through activities such as prayers, Holy Mass and Scripture Union, the school seeks to nurture learners who combine academic achievement with good character, respect for others and a strong sense of responsibility.

Parents and guardians interested in admission or seeking further information about the bursaries and other fee reduction opportunities can contact St. Mary’s College Mayenze on 0782785625. Through these initiatives, the school is reaffirming its commitment to giving deserving learners an opportunity to pursue their ambitions, develop their abilities and build a brighter future despite the financial challenges they may face.
