The Mukono Residents District Commissioner Fred Bamwiine has endorsed public political gatherings in the district.
Bamwiine has said while presiding over the unveiling of National Resistance Movement hopefuls in the forthcoming primaries at the district party headquarters that much as they don’t completely abandon Covid-19 guidelines, his office will provide to them security.
The function has been attended by over 200 people seated in a small tent close to each other without putting on face masks, washing hands or use thermometer temperature guns.
On the same function Haruna Ssemakula a businessman in Mukono has also declared intentions to contest on the position Mukono LC5 Chairperson. He will be contesting with Amdrew Ssenyonga the current chairperson for the party ticket.
