Police at Mukono has pitched at Wantoni trading center for the second day in anticipation of fights among various factions of taxi drivers.
Yesterday, Police went into running battles with Wantoni taxi drivers protesting self-declaration of Isaac Mawanda as the new leader for the taxi drivers.
Drivers protested the move saying Kato Mugalu is the known chairperson but not Mawanda who lacks requirements of leading them.
They accuse security agencies for protecting him well knowing that he is neither a taxi owner, driver or a conductor
James Nsimbi, the Municipal Enforcement Officer differed from security noting that Mugalu is the only registered chairperson.
