Dr. Anthony Kkonde, the Mukono Municipal Health Director is struggling for his life at Nakasero hospital.
Preliminary information obtained by this website indicates that Dr. Kkonde was attacked on his way back home last night.
Due to the various renovations at his home, he left the vehicle at the Jobia Hotel parking lot and moved on foot to his home located a few kilometers from the hotel at Kauga in Mukono Municipality.
However, along the way, it is alleged that he was attacked by goons who hacked and beat him to a pulp. The intention of his attack is not yet established.
The Insight Post has learned that Dr. Kkonde was taken to the Mukono General Hospital but due to the severe wounds, he was referred to Naggalama for CT scan services.
But also at Naggalama Hospital he was referred to Nakasero Hospital for specialized attention.
However, according to our sources, the doctor has not attracted quick attention due to the absence of a police reference number on his file.
By press time, the municipal enforcement officer had gone to the Mukono Police Division to report the matter to secure the required reference number.
