Bishop Serverus Jjumba of Masaka Diocese delivers a homily at Kitovu Cathedral during Uganda Martyrs’ commemorations, calling for renewed faith, unity, and self-reliance among Christians.

The Diocese of Masaka has announced the names of 35 seminarians and deacons who are expected to be ordained to the ministries of the diaconate and priesthood, with the date of the ordination ceremony to be communicated at a later time.

In a notice dated 26 June 2026, the diocese presented 15 seminarians preparing for ordination as deacons and 20 deacons who are set to be elevated to the priesthood.

The Diocese of Masaka has urged Christians to pray for the 35 candidates as they continue their spiritual preparation for ordination.

Members of the faithful who may be aware of any impediment affecting the candidates have been requested to notify their parish priests or the diocesan chancery at Kitovu by 20 July 2026.
