Thugs at Masindi General Hospital stole a battery from the National Medical Store delivery truck.
A Scania truck registration number UAJ 200X had delivered a consignment of drugs to Masindi Hospital from the National Medical Hospital on Friday evening.
However, thugs stole the battery leaving the vehicle grounded the hospital premises where it had been parked.
The truck driver says was meant to return to Kampala on Saturday morning only to realise in the morning that the battery was missing after trying several times to start the truck in vain.
The Albertine Region Police Spokesperson, Julius Allan Hakiza, says that they have arrested one of the guard who was on duty to help police investigations into the theft of the battery.
