Masaka City Woman MP Justine Nameere is reportedly missing after unidentified men allegedly picked her up in what witnesses described as a “drone” operation.
A short video circulating on social media shows a white drone-like vehicle parked near a location said to be her residence in Masaka. In the clip, a woman speaking in Luganda is heard shouting, “Bamuwambye,” meaning “she has been abducted.”
Unconfirmed reports circulating online claim that Nameere was allegedly intercepted while carrying money purportedly linked to the ongoing parliamentary speakership race. However, these claims have not been independently verified.
By the time of publication, security agencies had not yet issued an official statement regarding the incident or Nameere’s whereabouts.
