President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has appointed Hon. Justice Aisha Naluzze Batala as the new Inspector General of Government (IGG), replacing Hon. Beti Olive Namisango Kamya.
Justice Batala, a seasoned judicial officer, will now head the Inspectorate of Government, the body responsible for promoting good governance and fighting corruption in public offices. Her appointment marks a new chapter in the country’s anti-corruption drive.
The outgoing IGG, Hon. Beti Kamya, who has served since July 2021, is expected to hand over office following the official swearing-in of her successor.
