A fatal accident has occurred today, Saturday, 19th April, 2025 along Pallisa- Kumi road claiming the life of one person.
The accident which occurred at Kisenyi, resulted into the death of John Okoboi, a 57-year-old resident of Pallisa Town Council.
According to acting police spokesperson Bukedi North region, Wilfred Kyapasa, the incident involved a Toyota Hilux double cabin vehicle (UBL687R) driven by Isaac Okuma, a 42-year-old Northern region manager at Stanbic Bank, and a pedal cycle ridden by John Okoboi.
He says the cause of the accident is attributed to failure to give the right of way.
The PRO adds that police responded promptly, with the Scene of Crime Officer, Sgt. Fred Mutono and his crew visited the scene.
A sketch plan was drawn, and the body has been taken to Pallisa Hospital Mortuary.
The vehicle involved in the accident has been parked at Pallisa Police Yard pending inspection.
The police are currently conducting inquiries into the matter. Further investigations will be carried out to determine the circumstances surrounding the accident.
