Police have confirmed raiding New Best Hotel at Busega along Masaka Road for allegedly promoting sex slavery.
The raid took place on Thursday night after police confirmed intel that the hotel owner John Ssebyala had insisted on promoting sex slavery.
Although police through Kampala Metropolitan Spokesperson, Patrick Onyango confirmed raiding the hotel, declined to reveal the exact intentions behind the operation.
However, preliminary information obtained by this website indicates that the hotel owner and top managers were summoned to the police to record statements against allegations of trafficking girls into sex slavery before the operations.
Some other girls are promised jobs at the facility only to reach and are forced into commercial sex.
Christine Babirye, one of the bold girls who have come out to speak, says girls are first introduced to skimpy outfit dresses to entertain guests in saunas, massage parlors, room sex services, and erotic nude dances known as ‘kimansulo’ infront of exclusive audiences.
Sometimes they undress and have live sex on stage with selected guests as others cheer them on.
This is not the first time police have raided New Best Hotel. Severely, operations have been conducted after reports of immoralities but after a few days, the queer activities resume.
The place attracts people of different ages to have open sex during the day and night as well as props of sex plays.
Residents at Busega say the hotel is an emerging HIV-risk environment requiring government intervention by regulating the activities.
