President Yoweri kaguta Museveni has assured National Resistance Movement Rebel MPs support in the coming party 2020 polls.
The section of NRM legislators has been opposing party leadership decisions including scrapping of the presidential age limit were assured support on Wednesday at the Statehouse where they met with the president.
These are also engaging other leaders seeking to represent the party in the 2020 party polls and also discussing their welfare as disgruntled NRM party members.
The MPs went to Statehouse to ensure that they get approval from President or reality that they would continue to be sidelined from Museveni who also doubles as the Chairperson to contest on the party ticket but instead assured them that marginalization would not continue.
Most of the times most of these MPs have been sidelined since 2017, placed in committees they don’t want while others stopped from chairing them.
Monica Amoding, the Kumi Woman MP who was part of the team reveal that there is need to resolve the dispute since they are still serving on the NRM ticket.
John Baptist Nambeshe, the Manjiya County MP say he has faced a lot of trouble including being kicked out of the NRM caucus meeting for opposing the lifting of the age limit forcing him to denounced his NRM membership in favor of the People power pressure group.
