A body guard to Moses Kaliisa Karangwa, the National Resistance Chairperson for Kayunga district on Tuesday evening severely scuffled Jackline Nakasita, a Buganda’s official (Mituba II Kauga) at Kyaggwe county for parking close to Karangwa’s vehicle.
Karangwa had parked talking on a telephone at Satellite building parking yard in Mukono central town. His yet to be identified body guard who was putting on army attire jumped out his vehicle heading to Nakasita’s vehicle, ordered her drive away claiming that his boss was busy discussing classified information regarding the ongoing campaigns in Kayunga by-election.
Nakasiita tried explaining to the body guard in vain that she was dropping a team of journalists that had gone to cover Buganda’s premier (Katikiro) on his visit to the county aimed at promoting growing of coffee, the body guard insisted that what his boss was discussing on a telephone was more important than whatsoever excuse.
The body guard immediately pulled out Nakasiita through the car window dropping her on ground bruising almost her entire body. “I rather force you away than risking to be fired by my boss.” The body guard noted.
Another aid to Karangwa prevented journalists from moving out of Nakasiita’s car before rushing to Karangwa’s vehicle seeking for a gun. “Chairman bring the gun”. Immediately Karangwa jumped out with a gun but after realizing that people were recording every moment of the scene on the telephone, he took it back.
Karangwa ordered his body guards to enter the vehicle and drove away. The Insight Post managed to loop into Karngwa’s telephone conversation and established that he was discussing a plot to fail NRM strategies of making the party flag bearer in Kayunga by-election win since the NRM secretariat members almost sidelined him in the ongoing campaigns.
The NRM secretariat has camped in Kayunga with aim of winning back the party support lost as a result of negligent fights between Karangwa and Idah Erios Nantaba, the District Woman Member of Parliament.
