Paul Akamba, the incumbent Member of Parliament for Busiiki County in Namutumba District, has officially picked nomination forms as he seeks to retain his seat in the upcoming elections.
Akamba was among several aspirants who collected nomination forms this week.
His declaration to contest again comes with a renewed promise to continue advocating for better services for his constituents.
“I am seeking re-election so that I can continue lobbying for my people. We need better health facilities that are fully equipped and access to clean tap or piped water in every village,” Akamba said.
During his time in Parliament, Akamba has been known for pushing initiatives aimed at improving social service delivery.
His supporters point to visible improvements in healthcare and water access across parts of Busiiki County as evidence of his commitment.
With nomination activities now underway, Akamba’s message of continuity and service is expected to shape much of his campaign.
The people of Namutumba will soon decide whether to give him another term to carry forward the work he says is already in motion.
