St. Mary’s College Mayenze has announced a new bursary package offering major school fee relief to outstanding and vulnerable students as the institution opens registration for Term Three.
The initiative is designed to support learners whose families may struggle to meet the full cost of education while also rewarding students who demonstrate exceptional ability in academics, sports and other areas of talent.
According to the programme, eligible students can receive up to a 50 percent reduction in school fees. The opportunity also extends to pupils completing primary school, with those who score between aggregates 4 and 14 in the Primary Leaving Examinations eligible to be considered for bursary support when seeking admission.
The college is also encouraging parents to meet their financial obligations early by offering a two percent discount to those who clear their children’s school fees within the first two weeks of a new term.
Academic excellence will attract additional rewards, with students who achieve seven or more distinctions qualifying for either a UGX 50,000 cash reward or partial sponsorship towards their tuition. The incentive is intended to encourage learners to remain focused on strong academic performance.
The school has also considered students dealing with the loss of a parent. Learners whose fathers have died will qualify for a 50 percent fee reduction, while those who have lost their mothers will receive a 25 percent reduction under the special support arrangement.
