Three children who saw their father stabbing to death their mother in a single rented room at Kasanga Ntonto Parish Kyampisi Sub county in Mukono District are suffering psychological torture.
Prossy Namaganda ,28, a hair dresser was stabbed to death by Abudalah Matovu Zake her ex -husband whom she produced three children with but had separated two years back.
The deceased was stabbed several times in the neck and chest with a knife by the father before the children, however, according to one of the relatives caring about them, the older daughter of eight year wakes up in the night shouting and crying in pain claiming to see what happened during that night.
The Kampala Metropolitan Deputy Police Spokesperson Luke Owesigire, confirme to insight post that by the time neighbours came for her rescue during the fateful night, it was already late. They heard children crying out loud that their father had killed the mother.
Much as the suspect was produced before court on Thursday children together with relatives are still under shock of the tragedy that happened as last born of two years cries every night missing the mother.
Owesigire appealed to the public to always solve their domestic issues amicably among themselves or to involve a relative to settle the matters peaceful instead of resorting to violence.
Ali Wandera the neighbour renting on the same houses with the deceased says the suspect had taken time visiting the family and no one could suspect that he was planning such an ill move. He notes that when he visited last night, the wife served him with food and they thought he was forced to stay for a while since curfew hours had clocked but unfortunately during mid night they had children shouting. Upon opening the door, the husband had left leaving the woman laid in a shed of blood.
Sarah Nambogo a resident on the same village alleges that the ex-husband may have got jealousy after realizing that his ex-wife was in a new affair with another man on the same village and out of hanger decided to end her life.
