Following a story from one of the social media outlets about the shooting of Allan Sam Muyimbwa by Pastor Cliff Senyonjo of Zzana, this platform proceeded to meet the family of the victim to establish how the events unfolded.
This website contacted Kikumbi police station to secure the location of the victim but the efforts did not yield fruits. The officers claimed that the matter was under investigation, referring us to the police spokesman.
However, our media team was eventually able to identify the clinic where the victim received treatment from through one of the Boda-boda riders who also led us to the victim’s home.
The Victim was hesitant to share with us any information regarding the incident, citing a horrific experience with one of the journalists who earlier approached him.
He narrated to us how a lady found him at a clinic the following day after the incident and introduced herself as a journalist called Shami.
He was shocked that the lady was not bothered about his situation, “…apparently, she had come to discuss with me how to benefit from the situation. She shared with me the words to use in the video but when she started recording, I asked for forgiveness from the pastor, she got annoyed and walked away.”
Muyimbwa added that; “I go to Pastor Senyonjo’s church, my mother and my sister are all here, we have been friends with Vivian, the pastor’s daughter, I only recently learnt that she is 17 years. Some church elders were not comfortable with our closeness, and they have talked to me about the matter twice. All I can say is, Satan is a liar.”
He expresses thanks to God for a second chance to reflect on the trajectory of everything. Before the incident, he narrates that he was in the pastor’s house, when the pastor returned driving then he got frightened, rushed in the guest room and hid under the bed.
On the morning of December, 25, 2025, after learning about the pastor’s arrest, he revealed everything to his Mum and also begged her to meet the pastor and ask for forgiveness on his behalf.
Partly, this helped the pastor secure a bond. “I equally met him together with my dad. I am deeply sorry because I know I am the root cause of everything”.
We tried to reach out to pastor Ssenyonga about the incident and responded that the matter is still under investigation. “I am aware of the incident, it was so unfortunate, but I might not engage you much since the matter is under investigation, ” he said.
