Tulavo has got Uganda Tourism Board –UTB approval to be licensed as a Tour Operator in Uganda after successfully passing inspection by the Uganda Tourism Board to establish if the company meets the Uganda tourism standards.
This follows a mandatory inspection exercise carried out by a team from the Uganda Tourism Board on selected tour operators in the Eastern region to establish if they meet the standards set by the tourism regulatory body in Uganda. Tulavo is one of the tour operators in Uganda regulated by UTB, a tourism regulatory body.
According to the official information published on the Tulavo website, Tulavo was first registered by Uganda Tourism Board as a Tour Operator in May 2022 with registration number UTB/TT/1290. The company is an online Hotel booking platform for affordable hotels in Uganda. The company gives free marketing and automation services to hotel owners in Uganda whose room rates are below $100 per night.
According to Catherine Birungi, the quality Control Manager at Tulavo, the company is committed to delivering quality services to the users of the platform by committing itself to regulatory authorities. To achieve this the company is implementing a quality Management System that was certified for meeting ISO 9001:2015 international standards.
Tulavo was inspected in January together with other tour operators in the Eastern region of Uganda including Raft Uganda, Dove Tree Safaris, Nkembo Africa Safaris, Pearl Nature Holidays, Travel Bird Uganda, Tubing the Nile among others from the districts of Mbale, Toror, Busia, Buikwe, Soroti and Jinja. Tulavo is located in the Business District of Jinja along Kalagala White Waterfalls in Kangulumira town council.
According to Patricia Namara, the Inspection and Licensing Officer at the Uganda Tourism Board, every tour operator in Uganda undergo mandatory inspections to help tour operators conform to the Uganda tourism standards of the Uganda Tourism Board.
