Disregard the old instances, on December, 26, last year, a sixteen-year-old Irene Nakibuuka, resident of Ssaza village in Mukono drowned in a swimming pool in the wee hours of the night.
On the valentine night at around 3am, two men were lynched in the same place on grounds that they were trying to snatch a wallet from a pregnant reveler who was seated enjoying a nourishing cold beers on top of watching kissing competition.
Is it out of security lapse or a kind of recklessness of revelers we can define as persons with state of minds which deliberately and unjustifiably pursue a course of action while consciously disregarding any risks flowing from it.
Should we say the place is flocked by disorderly roisterers moist with the vigor of breaking down peaceful and law-abiding behaviours?
Numerous residents chose the place to bash with their families including children but share the same venue with the drunkard and other people enjoying erotic dance. Children are not restricted by time so long as they wish to cheer and their parents have money to spend.
At the upper side of the children’s swimming pool, is located sauna and massage pallor with sometimes open doors and windows.
Once children survive seeing and listening to their parents’ contemporaries shrieking out of ecstasy from the soothing touches and happy endings, still they never stop jolting into couples leaning against the toilet focused on lap dance and kissing.
Focus now at the group of emaciated and famished youths donned in damaged attires taking beer and plastic bottles of waragi, at the sometime spinning in groups to attract other revelers, the attention is diverted for their colleagues to snatch wallets, jewelry and other belongings.
Summer gardens; a nice place for outings lack bouncers to assist in breaking up fights and forcibly eject obnoxious clienteles and trained floor and doormen to manage its patrons against overly aggressiveness spoiling the party.
Well-trained floor men can circulate throughout the gardens evaluating the conduct and attitudes of each patron and watch for changes in behavior and able to us eye contact as well as body language to let troublesome patrons know that their conduct is reaching the threshold for unacceptable behavior.
Regulars offer enormous respect to the business providing hospitality so they chose flocking them to relax, unwind, and have a good time. At summer gardens the management employed drained waitresses and waiters who cannot satisfy customers on time, coercing them walk long distances pick drinks from the counters.
You remember the emaciated and famished youths we talked about, it becomes their time to surround off now the struggling to walk, blurred vision and slurred speech revelers to snatch their belongings especially wallets and telephones.
As if their game ends at that point, another groups waits from outside the gardens armored with knifes and other piercing objects to force you surrender all that remains, sometimes in the presence of police patrol.
Summer gardens set to standards but remains risky for revelers both inside and outside. You don’t need to be walking all the way home for a drink, even riding home can be risky if you aren’t careful. Little things unheeded can end up darkening the light and cause pain in joy at the end.
