The Chief of Defence Forces and Senior Presidential Advisor on Special Operations Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba has inspected the ongoing swearing-in parade rehearsals at Kololo Ceremonial Grounds ahead of the forthcoming presidential inauguration.
Gen. Muhoozi arrived at the venue where final preparations are being intensified by the three key security institutions tasked with ceremonial duties. These include the Uganda People’s Defence Forces UPDF, the Uganda Police Force UPF and the Uganda Prisons Service UPS.

Upon arrival he was received by senior security officials including Inspector General of Police Abbas Byakagaba, Commissioner General of Prisons Dr Johnson Byabashaija, UPDF Land Force Commander Lt Gen Kayanja Muhanga and Air Force Commander Lt Gen Charles Okidi.
The inspection focused on assessing parade coordination, discipline and synchronization among the different contingents as rehearsals continue ahead of the high profile national event.

Security agencies have been conducting intensive drills at Kololo in preparation for the swearing-in ceremony of the President which is expected to attract dignitaries, state officials and invited guests. Final preparations are ongoing as the country moves closer to the ceremony.
