Recent reports regarding arrests linked to a bribery scandal within Mukono Municipality’s recruitment processes have generated significant public attention and concern.
However, it has become necessary to clarify certain details to ensure accurate and fair reporting.
Contrary to an earlier version of the story, which has since been retracted, Ms. Faridah Nassolo, the Municipal Education Officer for Mukono Municipality, was neither arrested nor detained in connection with the ongoing investigations by the State House Anti-Corruption Unit.
In addition, her husband was not implicated in the matter. References to the couple in that context were based on information that has since been found to be inaccurate.
