The Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II has graced closure of the Masaza Cup finals at Mandela National Stadium (Namboole).
The final game between Buddu and Kyaggwe Ssaza FC has ended 1-0 with Michael Walaga scoring the winning goal.

The Kabaka arrived amidst strong ululations and great ovation from his subjects who have filled up Namboole to capacity shortly after the loser’s match which ended 1-3 between Kyadondo and Buwekula during midday.
Sports tournaments such as the Masaza Cup are a great opportunity to bring people from all regions together for the love of the sport and also a platform to sensitize the masses on societal issues affecting the communities.
Buddu has won its third trophy since the start of the tournament and Kyaggwe has been playing their first tournament final match. The Masaza Cup football tournament was introduced in 2004.

Buganda intends to groom talent among the youth across the different Counties or Masaza’s that make up the kingdom and the surrounding regions.
This can be seen with the great talents that have previously been scouted to play for established local and international clubs.
