A fortnight ago, Buddu County Chief Pokino, Jude Muleke launched a 32 steering committee to manage the county’s football team in the 2025 Masaza Cup Tournament.
The committee consists of Joseph Lutaaya, who retained his position as the chairperson, Stephen Zziwa, team manager, and Bishop Severus Jjumba, as the chief Mobliser.
The team advises are Bro. Augustine Mugabo, Prince Edward Nakibinge and Emeritus Mukwenda, Godfrey Mbalire.
The state minister for Micro Finance, Haruna Kyeyune Kasolo is the Patron and Sotius Ssegewa of Segiken as the treasurer.
The steering committee launch was meticulously planned, and the team managed to secure ten million in cash from the Ambassador who also promised it footwares and 20 balls.
Last evening on Wednesday, Nsambu delivered the balls worth Shillings 3.5million to the chief mobliser at Kitovu home.
“I also pledged to provide the footwear for the team and I am only waiting for the exact foot sizes of our players to make an order direct from the factory. We must make a difference in our local sports.” Nsambu said.
Bishop Jjumba commended Nsambu for the Kickstart and asked other supporting partners to come on board to support Buddu and other counties within the diocese.

Other counties in Masaka diocese include Ssese, Kabula, and Kkooki, Mawogola.
“As Masaka Diocese, we are visioning to promote sports, we established the Kitovu Sports Arena sitting on 6 acres. We are looking forward to expanding the facility to support local sports.” Bishop Jjumba noted.
Buddu County Chief, Muleke commended Nsambu and other supporting partners for the boost before asking other counties to get ready for the faceoff.
“As always, Buddu FC is committed not only to participate in the tournament, but also to defend the 2024 championship.” Pokino noted.
Lutaaya, the Buddu FC chairperson said the team will soon arrive at the camp to kick-off the training.
The team has already contracted the main coach, Eric Kisuze, capable of defending the Buddu FC championship.
