Buganda Land Board Raises Alarm Over Jollo Property Operations on Kabaka’s Land

May 19, 2026

He says that he previously gave up thinking he was getting into a confrontation with the Kabaka, but after realizing that it is a few corrupt officials within Buganda land board targeting his land, the fight resumes.

The contention on land began years back when Kiham Enterprises, a company co-owned by Kiggundu and Nakibinge Kaggwa, in collaboration with UNRA tried to create a road that leads to the land in Kigo.

The decision to create the road in the land under question was protested by Buganda Land Board (BLB) officials who claimed the move by Kiham was aimed at stealing part of Kabaka’s land which Ham’s company has continuously denied.

Kiggundu insists that the land titles he has on land are genuine and verified by the ministry of lands. According to him, the ministry cannot open up freehold titles on the Kabaka’s mailo land.

He appeals to Buganda Premier intervene and prevail over the Buganda Land Board officials he says are corrupt.

These include Bashir Kizito, the District Staff Saveyour for Wakiso who also doubles as the head surveying and mapping at Buganda land board.

“This one the IGG should intervene, you cannot be one person making assessments and approvals in three different offices. There is a conflict of interest between the private sector and public sector.”

He also mentions of the one Rema steering the sale of Kabaka’s land at Kigo. “The Kabaka had over 300 acres of land but it is almost finished now, they are now up for mine with an intention of selling it to Golf Course Indian Owners.”

He mentions Denis Bugaya, as a ‘real’ thief who handles the legal paperwork and also runs to media houses to ensure blackmail, malice, and sabotage. And lastly, Simon Kabogoza Muwanga, who appends the final signature on the fabricated documents as the BLB, Chief Executive Officer.

“I am a Muganda, I have much love for my Kabaka, and that’s why I have come out to fight against people placed in the Kingdom to let it down through stilling land from Baganda. Kiggundu noted wondering what happens to other poor Baganda out there who cannot stand for themselves.

Before giving up on the fight for Kigo land, Kiggundu had reached advanced stages of building an integrated sports complex called Ham Sports Club at the land situated between Serena Kigo and Mirembe Villas.

BLB officials are yet to respond to the new claims by Ham Kiggundu against them.
