This Sunday, Kyaggwe County Football Club will face Ggomba FC in their last group stage match at Bishop SSS playground in Mukono Municipality.
Kyaggwe’s hopes of advancing to the quarter-finals rest on this game. If they win, they’ll secure their spot; if they lose, their chance to advance depends on other teams like Kyadondo, Mawokota, Buluuli, and Bugerere performance as well.
Coach David Mutono believes the game is crucial. He says the team is in good shape and ready to fight for the win. “We know every match has its challenges, but we’re prepared to overcome them. We’re ready to get through this tough group.”
Kyaggwe FC is also playing in memory of their fans who tragically died in an accident after their first match against Ggomba. Coach Mutono emphasises that the support of their fans is crucial. “Every fan is like an extra player for us. Your presence is very important.”

Chairperson Sserebula Stephen is encouraging a strong turnout of supporters. He highlights Kyaggwe’s rich cultural history and the importance of making a mark by winning the Masaza Cup.
“We need to stay disciplined to avoid penalties and trust the referees. The referees have been vetted and are the best for the job.”
Speaker Jonathan Ntulume stresses the importance of fan support, especially for this challenging game.
He calls on everyone to come and support the team, noting the contributions of influential supporters like Archbishop Stephen Kaziimba Mugalu and others who have backed the team from the beginning.
