Shocking details before the Masaka High Court indicate that three children from Turyagyenda Foundation School in the Lyantonde district were sodomized.
Alas enough, the innocent young boys were forced into buggery activities by their teacher identified as Joseph George Ssemwogerere.
The distressing incident which happened at the beginning of last year was brought to court on August 25, 2023.
Parents of the victims are worried about the lives of their children whose health is still depraved.
One of the parents preferred anonymity to speak to us to avoid the community adding up dots to identify his child as the victim at the time he is still battling mental torture.
He says that looking at the boy’s situation and what he attested to, doctors confirmed that he was sodomized several times.
According to the disgruntled father, they were forced to seek medical attention when the child presented with severe signs of pain whenever he had to sit down, later passing stool on himself.
“At first when I contacted the school, the management pretended to be unaware, but after the second medical examination of our boy, they opened up. This is when we discovered that several others had gone through similar situations.” He noted.
All the victims point at one teacher who is currently the suspect but the number seems big and concealed.
This website wanted to understand how the school managed the situation and as well get responses to claims that the management has been working so hard to suffocate justice for the victims, however, the prime spokesperson of the school who doubles as the school director Jane Murungi Turyagyenda has remained unreachable.
Many studies have examined the long-term psychological impact of child sexual abuse as an adverse childhood experience that has serious long-term consequences for those who have been victimized.
The recent research review of over four million people found that those who experienced abuse are between two and three times more likely to experience disorders compared to adults who were not abused.
Such disorders include borderline personality disorder, depression, anxiety, post-traumatic disorder, and eating disorder.
It should be noted that many of the psychological consequences of abuse can take years to develop as the abuse is thought to alter brain structure and chemistry during its developmental period.
