As the public continues to demand Legislators to give thorough explanation about the Shillings 100m handout given to them, Masaka region members of parliament have remained tight-lipped about the evil money.
By close of Thursday evening, 37 MPs from across the country had come out straight and declared rejecting the money.
This followed a resolution by the office of the leader of opposition condemning receipt of the money by MPs in secrecy in appreciation of passing the coffee bill and also incentivize them amend the UPDF act.
However, despite the Masaka region comprising many opposition legislators, their names have not yet appeared on the list condemning the bonanza and also challenge the IGG swing in action to recover the money and also prosecute all the culprits.
A few legislators who have signed the commitment document vowing not to accept the controversial funds, have also took to their social media handles to defend themselves.
The Acting LOP Muwanga Kivumbi, tasked MPs who had already picked the money to return it or else sign that they never received the money, a move which will confirms that they are indeed clean.
Masaka region has a total of 31 legislators across the nine districts and one city but many of them till now are hiding their faces from the media.

In their an assumption, this signifies that many of them have taken the money because they have not even signed the commitment document that was put forward by the Leader of opposition on Thursday.

Legislator across the political divide walked out with 100m sourced from the 4trillion supplementary budget passed in March 2025.
Sources indicated that some MPs collected their funds from the offices on Level 4 and 5 at parliament.
