Fr. Safari is seen in a video clip which has gone viral on different social media platform under protected of an armed police officer while celebrating a holy mass which commenced the commissioning ceremony of Mother Kevin Secondary School on October 26.

The Video shows the police officer moving behind the priest at several intervals ahead of the vested ministers that are supposed to assist him conduct the mass. At one point, he also assisted him to passover the bible to the altar ministers.

The viral clip has created an intense debate about the conduct of the priest while others condemn the act of sharing saying it disgraces the person of the priest.

The clip is accompanied with a voice over calling upon superior religious leaders to come out and address the matter.

A catholic mass is considered as the highest form of prayer led by only ordained priests as the main celebrant, assisted by the deacon, catechists, altar servers and ushers vested by the church to play special roles.

Although Lugazi Diocese where the priest under question serves has declined to say anything about the video, the school, Mother Kevin SS has come out with an official statement saying the police officer stealthily joined the procession but did not have any attachment to the main celebrant.

The school further requests probing of the supervisor for the deployed officers on the day as well as a written apology from police.
