Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja has castigated Kayunga District Service Commission for taking bribes from the people they offer job opportunities.
She has rebuked the habit addressing series of rallies organized by the National Resistance Movement secretariat members to canvass support for their party candidate Andrew Muwonge, ahead of the December 16, district LC5 by-election.
” I have interacted with locals and they have been specific of investing a lot of money in educating their children but instead end up missing chances of acquiring job opportunities at district since they are only given to people from other district who are able to bribe the service commission members.” Nabbanja notes.
She has further noted that at times they are also forced to pay the little they have and at the end of it all not considered yet they would have used it to start small ventures for their graduated children.
NRM Director for Mobilisation, Recruitment and Cadre Development, Rosemary Seninde Nansubuga, emphasizes the need for the electorates in Kayunga to vote for a person who will closely work with the President in ensuring that the challenges affecting the locals are worked upon.
“Muwonge is the solution to the problems affecting Kayunga. Therefore, put aside your differences and fights, vote for Muwonge to ensure the district moves forward.” Seninde says.
Meanwhile, the National Unity Platform-NUP Candidate Harriet Nakwede is also traversing the district pledging to unite and work with everyone regardless of political, religious or tribe affiliations.
Promises to revamp the education and health system, poor road network, ending land wrangles, gap between district technocrats and politicians as well as promoting sports.
