St. Lawrence University-SLAU awarded a cheque of Shillings 8.9million to Fred Kanganve for recruiting the highest number of students in the university.
Kangave, the former aspirant for Busiro East Member of Parliamentary position also locally known as ‘Omuvuzi wa Bodaboda’ recruited over 500 students to the university.
The Director St Lawrence University, Peter Ssemakula expressed happiness for the rare efforts, unique tactics and skills exhibited by Kangave in popularizing the good image of the university.
Kangave notes that he managed to achieve the success through mobilizing and organizing sports activities in Wakiso district as well using his political carrier reach out to many people.
“Given the trust people have in me, it has been easy for majority to trust the university as well when I approached them and told them about the application procedure at SLAU.” Kangave notes.
St Lawrence University enrolls students in January and August. It emphasizes entrepreneurship development, competence in research and in ICT and self-empowerment and leadership.
