Rev.-Peter-Bakaluba-Mukasa

Rev. Peter Bakaluba Mukasa, the Mukono District LC5 Chairperson is committed to ensuring passing on a heavy penalty to Mukono Acting Division Police Commander Ismael Kifude for invading his rest gardens operating during lockdown.

The previous weekend Rev. Bakaluba took on a battle to the social media accusing Kifude for condoning off his premises while his family members gathered to celebrate a birthday party of his son.

However, the valorous acting DPC Kifude responded to the chairperson’s massage portraying him as an equivocator knowing the truth but decided to turn it way round.

Afande Kifude traced for Rev. Bakaluba in vain to make an apology until he found him at the RDC’s office.

After the conversation attracting a loud attention from netizens, Rev. Bakaluba mobilized his political team to compile a working record of Kifude since he was posted at Mukono as the Division OC.

The move scared Kifude before running to make an apology for the Sunday incident but Rev. Bakaluba declined to take the apology insisting that the matters will be arbitrated before the IGP.

Kifude earlier started that police did not beat, harm, or chase away any one at Bakaluba’s home; there was a birthday party and many other people present in the compound, bar, swimming pool and inside the house on top of loud music.

Nevertheless, Rev. Bakaluba says the act was disrespectful to him as a member on the district security committee arguing that the DPC had many other various ways he could use to push him stop the various activities at the center.

He insists that the activities involving extending food packages to vulnerable people were taking place at his home and only church music music was playing.

One of the photos taken on day police invaded the rest gardens, children who had turned up for swiming together with their mothers dressing up to vacate the place.

Facts on Ground

The chairperson’s home at Hamu-Mukasa village shares the same premises with the leisure center known as Caribas rest gardens which accommodates adults and children’s swimming pools, steam birth, sauna and a bar said to have been functioning throughout the lockdown.

Neighbours around the place confirms that it has been operational throughout the lockdown with a big populace turning up with their children to swim and adults for steaming until Sunday music was played much louder for people residing in the area.

Our reliable sources reveal that Rev. Bakaluba believe only one neighbour with a long time grudge over his development progress hoodwinked police.

Behind Kifude Apology

Reliable sources indicate that Rev. Bakaluba’s camp has obtained enough information obtained against him sparing various rest gardens, steam bath, saunas and bars to operate within the district after fulfilling various conditions different from the set standard operating procedures of the Ministry of Health.

The information is gathered to be presented before the office of the Inspector General of Police.
