Christians at Mt. Lebanon Church in Mukono Municipality donated over 70 liters of blood to Nakasero blood bank.
The arrangement aimed at refilling the national centre for blood. Moses Turyamureba from Nakasero blood bank says there is a serious need for more blood donation to save lives.

“There is a great demand for blood in various hospitals around the country. A lot of patients injured from accidents, pregnant mothers at deliveries, anemic children, malaria and HIV/AIDs patients as well those with chronic diseases like cancer and heart related diseases need blood transfusion.” Turyamureeba explains.
He further appeals to Ugandans to adopt the culture of donating blood at least every three months to cover the demand in hospitals.

Mt. Lebanon Church Senior Pastor Samuel Lwandasa encourages Christians to adopt the habit of donating blood since it aims at saving lives.
“Donation of blood contributes to good health, and the body of Christ is destined for life in abundance. Donating blood contributes to a healthy body of Christ.” Pastor Lwandasa notes.
